SGM Called 14th November

Since the deadline for nominations has passed and several key positions have received no nominations the Executive is calling a Special General Meeting on Saturday 14th November at 1:30pm at Royal Leamington Spa (immediately prior to actual AGM) to pass a temporary amendment that will allow nominations received prior to 14th November for the vacancies to be accepted at the AGM.
The three key positions that need filling are Secretary, Treasurer and Competition Secretary. Without these positions being filled the County could be forced to fold. Please note the roles of Secretary and Treasurer are separate roles, one person does not have to do both.
Thomas Appointed Team Manager

Current senior team manager Martyn Murley has informed the Executive that he is stepping down at the end of the season. Stuart Thomas, one of Martyn's assistants, expressed an interest is taking on the role and after considering his track record with Bowls England the Executive felt continuing with someone from the current setup would be beneficial so have appointed him as the new manager.
President Raises A Grand For British Heart Foundation

President Graham O'Donohue raises £1,100 for the British Heart Foundation.
Fake Email Circulating
- Details
Several people have reported receiving an email from with an attachment.
This email has not originated from the County and should be deleted without attempting to open the attachment.
2027 County Competitions
- Details
Entries for the 2027 County Competitions are open.
Bowls England have increased their part of the per player fee for the singles, pairs, triples, fours, two woods and senior fours from £4.05 to £5.50, the County has not increased its portion or the fees for other competitions.
Major changes to both the Wardrop Cup and Ivens Cup.
Clubs can now enter two teams in the Wardrop Cup, players can only play for one of the teams.
Clubs can now enter four teams into the Ivens Cup, the Ivens Cup draw will now be County wide. Teams losing their first game will be entered into the Ivens Plate which runs to the same rules as the Cup. Players can only play for one of the teams.
Competition Regulations have been updated to reflect these changes.
